I came across this
interesting article from the end of last year. It mentions, “Ninety-five percent of people 75 and older say
they want to stay in their homes indefinitely,” and “age in place”.
It provides an excellent list of 10 safety-related products, and
similarly adaptive clothing should be added to this list. Elderly adults often face issues of
balance, and clothes that simplify the day-to-day task of dressing oneself are
not just items of convenience.
Rather, adaptive clothing has become another tool that assists in the
growing trend to “age in place”.
