The future in Health Care is changing!

I cannot tell you what those changes will truly be. I am sure you read as much as I do to try to understand it all. But one thing for sure I can tell you is that we all need to be more proactive about our health. Little changes can mean a lot. If you feel a cold coming on, rest. Do not over do. Eating healthy is another good way to be proactive about your health. And look for products that can help you. EasyUndies is one of those products. EasyUndies can help reduce the stress of getting dressed and eliminate the risk of falling. As many seniors live alone and cannot afford long term care, a fall can be life threatening.

EasyUndies is a must for any person with dexterity or mobility issues or for a senior who lives alone. Be proactive about your life. EasyUndies are the safe alternative to traditional underwear. And the best part is that no one can tell you are wearing them.

Taking care of a loved one

Taking care of a loved one, family or friend, can be an overwhelming job. The struggles that one goes through both physically and mentally can be exhausting to a person. That is why I developed EasyUndies. Our family cared for my mom for many years. The struggles to get her dressed everyday were great. The stress was not just hers, but the person dressing her also. If you have dexterity issues, mobility issues or are recovering from surgery, EasyUndies Medical Garments will make life easier and less stressful.

EasyUndies were developed by me, a person who knows, for people who understand what a caregiver truly does. www.EasyUndies.net

The Many Sides of MS

This inspiring story mentions two important aspects of MS.  One characteristic is that often the symptoms are silent and not publicly noticeable.  The other facet of MS is that after being diagnosed, one of the primary challenges can be to just live comfortably.  Our company firmly believes in and supports the growth of adaptive clothing as a means to help those with MS live independently.

According to the 2010 census 35.8 million adults have a physical functioning difficulty.

This is a result of a variety of factors: people born with disabilities, age, illness, surgery or sports injuries. After watching my mother struggle with Multiple Sclerosis, I was determined to return the dignity of a simple daily task to individuals with my product EasyUndies.

EasyUndies Medical Garments help individuals with all dexterity and mobility, or grasping challenges, including: arthritis, MS, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, developmental disorders, stroke victims, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, chronic disease and the typical aging process.

I'm really proud of EasyUndies and the way it will play a part in helping people maintain their independence and dignity.

EasyUndies come in a Women's Brief, Men's Brief, Boxer Shorts and Boxer Briefs and start at $17.99 for a two pack, and are available at EasyUndies.net or you can purchase it throughout the country at several medical supply stores.

Adaptive Clothing and the "Age in Place" Trend

I came across this interesting article from the end of last year.  It mentions, “Ninety-five percent of people 75 and older say they want to stay in their homes indefinitely,”  and “age in place”.  It provides an excellent list of 10 safety-related products, and similarly adaptive clothing should be added to this list.  Elderly adults often face issues of balance, and clothes that simplify the day-to-day task of dressing oneself are not just items of convenience.  Rather, adaptive clothing has become another tool that assists in the growing trend to “age in place”.

Adaptive Clothing as an Established Product Line

EasyUndies Adaptive Clothing Blog

Adaptive clothing is truly coming into its own as an established product line.  As early as 2009, Disabled World wrote, “Adaptive clothing is defined as clothing specially designed for people with physical disabilities, the elderly, and the infirm who may have difficulty dressing themselves due to an inability to manipulate closures or due to a lack of a full range of motion required for self dressing.  (January 13, 2009)  The term, adaptive clothing, even has its own Wikipedia page!  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptive_clothing)  We are excited to add our unique underwear to the adaptive clothing product line!

Renovations to Stay in Your Home Longer

As we all age, more and more people want to stay in their homes and not move. Choosing the right contractor that understands your needs is important. Get references from the contractor you are looking to hire. Do the research of what is out on the market that can make your home safer as you age.

EasyUndies Medical Garments help give seniors more independence with the ability to put their underwear on and reduce the risk of falling. A fall of any type can be life threatening for seniors. EasyUndies is available in many styles and sizes. www.easyundies.net

Simple Rituals To Reach Your Potential Every Day

1. Drink a glass of water when you wake up. When you sleep at night your body loses water. Start your day with a glass of water when you wake up. Think of it as watering your soul.
2. Set a daily goal. Ask yourself each morning, what are the three most important tasks I want to complete today? Have a plan, but do not over plan. Make your tasks for the day realistic.
3. Look outside a window. The world is really a very beautiful place. You could live in a city or the country. Just look outside; the simplest things have beauty in them. And when your day gets filled with stress remember what you looked at in the morning out the window.
4. Express gratitude. Gratitude fosters happiness. Remember to smile. You will be surprised how people react to someone who smiles.
5. Reflect daily. Bring closure to your day through reflection. Think about your day. Remember the beauty your saw in the morning out the window and have a good night’s sleep.

Caregivers and Stress

The holiday time can bring much joy and stress. I know in my case taking care of my mom or any family member is out of the love you feel for them. But sometimes caregiving can become overwhelming. If you feel that way you are not alone. Through social media you can reach out and find advice for how you are feeling. And if social media is not for you then reach out to a friend or a religious leader. Help and alternative ways are available. All you have to do is ask.

EasyUndies, like other adaptive clothing, can help make a caregiver's job easier. You can help a loved one, friend or patient while they are sitting down or in bed. The stress of moving a person is reduced. Giving the patient back dignity while reducing the movements that are needed to dress them.

And if you are on your own, remember EasyUndies are a safe alternative to traditional underwear. They take away the risk of falling and injuring yourself.
